Hi there.
I am 29 years old and have never been pregnant before. I am fairly regular with my periods. My boyfriend and I have been together over 3 years and have been having unprotected sex for the past two years. We have thought about trying for a baby and we know he is fertile as he used to be a donor….

I am currently taking folic acid tablets and multi vitamins to try and boost my good antibodys and am cutting down on smoking (trying to quit smoke max 5 a day atm).

Any hints, tips for how we could increase our chances of making me pregnant, I am 5foot tall and weight 13 and a half stone. Am I overweight!! Does this affect my chances.

Any help would be great, I’ve read up on ovulation so I can now start to monitor that area of things, but if there is any other natural ways of boosting the possibility I would be greatful to hear them.

Only sensible answers please. It feels like my chances are slipping away. My younger sister got pregnant so easily when she was 18.

Keep “at it” as they say. Give up smoking completley if you can. If you are still having trouble or want more advise then go to the doctors

I’m “athletic build”, take very good of my body and hygiene, going to college, and in the military. I made a personal vow/swear a couple years back to protect and help innocent people anyway I am and any way I can. I’ll take a bullet for just about anyone. I’ve never gone up to some one and said any body this but when a girl or any one starts noticing that I put every one else before myself whether I know them or not people ask me why and practically abandon and ignore me forever. But I know I would definitely of her/If I ever have a girl friend.
If see someone’s car break down I help them, if an elderly person needs help and nobody does anything I’ll definitely help out, and its not annoying neither. Younger people and even my “friends” will look at me weird, especially since I refuse to drink, smoke, and go to clubs. I’m a real family person since both my little sister and my mother are handicapped so I’m there for them a lot too. I don’t ever really like to or try to hang out with people I know cuz I’m doing things for others around(i.e. neighboors, local charity) but still get personal space.
I’m told alot that I’m a real nice and decent guy, and often feel a brother-like person, but I always find people who hate what I do and think its all waste a time and whatever. I’m also told I have a mad or pissed off look when I walk around but its my natural face until some one says hi or hey then I look “nice” again.
I really want to see this world a better place but with everything I do, something always happens with a girl I’m talking to that suddenly things without notice just cut-off forever.
Girls talk to me and (sometimes/rare) flirt but for some reason nothing ever happens beyond that, I’ve never had first date even, I dunno maybe its a hex, surprisingly I do get a decent amount of free time but conveniently no girl I talked before will ever a day to just hang-out, I’m not sure any more should I keep searching or should I just quit on finding some one? I’ve never believed that everybody has soul mate anyway… (most but not everyone)

Maybe you should just not describe yourself all at the same time to a girl when you meet her for the first time, save some for later.. if you tell a person everything about you in halkf hour what else is there left to talk about? just be mysterious… i understand you maybe used to your lifestule… talking about yourself and ewhat you do.. if you rthink that turns girls away from you then dont say the same thing again to someone new that you meet. ask questions about themselves too… good luck.

I have recently quit smoking the whacky tobacky, to help keep the temptation away from my brother while he deals with some legal issues, truth be told I don't miss it, but I find myself very on edge and easily set off, I have been working out and riding my bike which has increased my strength, endurance but has not been an outlet for my frustrations, if any has increased them because riding around here, it seems none of the blue tags look or care if I'm there, any ideas on natural remedies for stress relief?

I've never gotten the handle of meditation. I get bored.

You need to direct your energy into a hobby or activity. Try taking martial arts or kung fu. Take up model-building, which will help slow you down and build some patience.

Gardening is another good one. It builds serious muscles, shoveling dirt, and there's nothing more peaceful and rewarding then growing plants.

I have just been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. I have it in my right wrist and hand and my left knuckles so far. It is in its early stages and hasn’t been too painful yet, although my wrist can be very stiff some times and I am unable to lift heavy things without it being painful and my wrist feeling weak. I have read about the drugs prescribed by doctors and am not willing to try these until I have tried to control the illness through diet, exercise and dietary supplements. I am aware that damage will be done to my bones the longer I leave off treatment from the doctors and I am aware that a lot of the ‘Amazing’ herbal supplements advertised online will not work. I am willing to use the meds from the doctor if my pain or swelling should become unbearable, but not at this stage. I have quit smoking today, hoping that it will help. I have cut everything except veg, fruit, nuts, seeds, oily fish, green tea, fruit tea and water from my diet. I am using fructose instead of sugar as it seems to be a good alternative. What else can I do? If I could afford it I would hire the help of a nutritionist. Please if anyone out there has any knowledge of this subject, give me some advice.

First off, congratulations for everything you’ve done for your health! I know it’s really hard to change not only your diet, but your lifestyle as well, not to mention quitting smoking. That’s awesome! ;-)
With that out of the way, there are several natural supplements that help joint health, which may remove the cause of the pain. The most popular are Microlactin, Tart Cherries, Glucosamine, Chondroitin, MSM, Hyaluronic Acid, Litozin (Danish Rose Hips), and Bromelain.
The only thing to really watch out for is allergies. Glucosamine is typically from Shellfish and Microlactin is from milk. As long as you’re not allergic to those, you should have no problem. Good luck!

Hello Everybody,

I have recently quit smoking, my one month anniversary is on Thursday. I have two small children (3 years old, and 8 months old) - I've found that my mood and relative anger spikes at times now that my body is baron of the nicotine that it is used to having.

I have used all of the energy and focus I have to NOT show my anger, emotions, mood spikes to my children. I've been successful probably 95% of the time harboring my mood swings internally, and not showing them to my little ones.

Here is the problem: It's really caused an issue for my wife, and I. We are a loving couple, we're really best friends… But I've had a hard time controlling my little out-bursts. I give angry looks, grit my teeth… I don't "snap", or freak out by any means.. But she expressed concern to me that I'm less myself, and she worries that his is the "New Frank" — This is not okay with me.

Are there any NON DRUG remedies that anybody knows of that help suppress anger or mood swings?

The anger organ is the liver so you need to work on getting any congestion out of it…like milk thistle or eating raw beets for a couple of weeks.

You could really help yourself out alot if you started exercising… Im talking lifting weights and running to get the toxins out of your body. Also you need to really get some fruit and veggies blasting through your system. Omega 3s would also be a great thing for you. I take Chia to get mine… google to find out info about them but I buy mine at www.herbspicetea.com .

You will be fine but you really need to sweat and get your endorphines up so you dont over load your mind and body.

I’ve been smoking for about a year now…but I really want to quit. It’s hard for me though…let me explain why.

All my friends and my boyfriend smokes, so I’m constantly around it and I always feel the urge to smoke. As weird as it seems…it’s kind of a weird bonding thing about everyone going outside and smoking at a party at my friends’ house…so it’s a social thing that I enjoy I guess…I know thats bad and kinda weird lol.

Another thing is, having a cigarette on the way to work and on my lunch break has become a custom and a routine in my day and I absoloutley HATE breaking routines…if I don’t have a cigarette when I usually have one of a day it makes me feel off. Not just smoking does this to me, everything else does this to me if I don’t do it at the exact time every day.

I just want an effective way to quit without patches or gum or anything (I don’t like to take medicine for any reason really…I will but I prefer a natural way). I know my details make it hard to answer…but if you have any idea how to help me get through these things to quit smoking (I desperately want to!)…I appreciate any thought or answer.

You have taken the right decision in wanting to quit smoking. Smoking-related diseases claim an estimated 430,700 American lives each year. Smoking costs the United States approximately $97.2 billion each year in health-care costs and lost productivity. It is directly responsible for 87 percent of lung cancer cases and causes most cases of emphysema and chronic bronchitis.

For stopping smoking you have to develop a strong will. While socializing with others, you have to find company of non smokers if possible. Otherwise you can be the loner in the group avoiding smoking. During lunch break for relaxation have a cup of coffee instead of a cigarette or any other thing. As you have picked up the hobby you need to come out of it also. You need to build up a routine for non smoking everyday and strictly follow the same. Open up a diary and note down everyday how many cigarettes you smoke. This will help you in the long run.

It is your health and you need to take care.

my bf likes to smoke and for personal reasons im very against it. he says hes cut back alot. i want him to quit completely. all of his friends say its no big deal and that its natural. i say poison ivy is natural 2 but you wouldnt put that in your mouth. can anybody help?

Point out to him (when he's sober) everything he's missing when he's high. Mention the cost. Mention the illegality of it. Tell him that it's pushing you away. If he cares deeply enough for you, he will respect you enough to quit it.
