yea hoodia isn't a stimulant so therefore there is nothing in it that will counteract with taking the patch. If you feel like you don't want to take the pills anymore because you notice something irregular, then stop. But it can't harm you. Hoodia is natural and probably the safest dietary supplement out there. Is it effective, that I cannot tell you.
My sister went with the pill, "chantix". She swears by it, while I swear that I will smoke even when I am dead!
or do they even work
cause im addicted and have been smoking for 2 years now and i really want to stop
but i love smoking so much! i love how the buzz feels and i love smoking
but i dont want to want to!
so how does the patch even work and the gum?
thanks
They put nicotine in your body slowly, the patch has different levels of nicotine in them, First you use the highest to the lowest. I know this sounds crazy but, I went to a class to quit smoking and we put rubber bands on our wrists. When you have a urge to smoke you pull the rubber band and snap your self a good one and it takes your mind off the smokes. Sooner or later your craving goes away and you don’t have to snap yourself anymore. The nicotine leaves your body in 3-4 days.GOOD LUCK !!!!
For anyone who quit smoking, I need some help with this one. I have the desire to quit for health reasons. I would like to be able to run again someday without buckeling over after twenty feet. Problem is, I enjoy smoking. After sex, while drinking coffee, it is basically intergrated into everything I do. Bordem is the worse smoking trigger.
I would like to know any effective method of quitting smoking that YOU used, so I have a frame of reference to base my efforts off of.
eat gummi bears, thats what my mom did so she could do something with her hands and chew on something to cut the cravings. i hope you can quit, god bless you!
Whatever you know or have heard would be helpful…
patch can make your skin itchy and wears off late in the day. be sure to buy the highest mg, even when you begin to reduce the dosage. simply cut them into half's or quarters can save a lot of money-plus you can apply an extra half if you get a craving.
gums works ok, but I prefered the lozenges since they don't require chewing.

Very best of Luck.
BTW C R is somewhat correct, but the power of BOTH a physical addition to nicotine and a mental conditioning of smoking being relaxing is very hard to overcome. its much easier if you can get rid psychological needs for a few months and then ween off or cold turkey the nicotine itself. and if cold turkey fails, make sure to go to gum, or lozenges instead of cigarettes.

Just a few drags not the whole cigarette.
They placed a patch on me in the hospital for three days and then when they were fixing to release me from the hospital someone removed the patch. I raced downstairs and smoked two cigarettes in a row, that is when the chest pains came on. I thought I was fixing to have a heart attack. I went back upstairs to my room where I was greeted by another nurse who said that she was there to remove the patch and that I should not smoke for 24 hours or I could have a heart attack. I told her she was too late. I did not have a heart attack but it was scary, needless to say.
The smoker is 8-10 cigerattes a day ..
Hello Jay,
My wife smoked for over 10 years and when she found out that she was pregnant with our now newborn 3 months old daughter, she had promised me that if I found a good solution for quitting, she will try her best to kick the habit.
Well in my spare time I started researching online for quit smoking programs, meanwhile she was trying out patches and gums that you can buy at grocery stores and adventually they would not work for her.
After about a week of researching I had stumbled over a website that really impressed me on what they had to offer and that they actually say that they can almost guarantee your success, and most importantly that you can try it out for free.
The company has been around for over 20 years now and they have helped over a million smokers quit since and their kit has everything that you possibly need to help you quit smoking, I thought WoW that is impressive.
I went ahead and ordered the free trial for my wife (only paid for shipping) and she has quit smoking in just two weeks and she doesn't want to hear about or smell another cigarette again in her life
Now it is up to you, but since my wife has quit, I was so happy about her success, so much so that I had built a small review site of the product to also help other people quit, you can check it out at; http://endthehabitnow.com if you want to find out more.
P.S. Also available for Canada.
Thanks for reading my short story, I hope it helps, good luck and stay healthy.
You DON'T need the patch or nicotine gum or anything like that; all these stuff were made so that pharmaceutical companies can make money and not to help you…Just stop smoking!!! The best way to go is whenever you feel like smoking just do some kind of physical activity…And of course, no coffee, no alcohol…I am talking out of experience (I quited more than 10 years ago)…It is all in your mind and not in the patch…
What's the best motivation for abstaining from cigarettes on the first day and all that follow?
I was the easier for me !
