i have virtually quit smoking down to 4 or 5 a week. i just find it so hard to finally quit altogether especially when i go out with Friends for a drink. my craving hits give in point and i have one after a beer on the weekends is this ok or is it just as bad as smoking on a daily basis?
20 minutes! Go to the “stop smoking recovery timetable”, your body starts healing in as little as 20 minutes. You need to quit entirely, sounds like you have just about got it licked so keep at it. Good luck!
how long should it take to feel the posertive effects of quiting smoking?

I quit 5 years ago. I truly believe you have to want to quit or you won’t. I feel great! I felt the effects in as little as a couple weeks! I don’t crave them any more but when i first quit , i really craved them when i was out and had a couple drinks.

I did this, its better than smoking every day, soon you will realise its just not worth it and stop completely. I did and have never looked back.

it only takes a day for your blood pressure to go back to normal. then soon after, your cilia start to grow back and your sense of smell returns.

You are still addicted.
It takes about six months after your last cigarette to feel clean.

Congratulations, you have done really well. Personally when I gave up smoking in 1979 when I was on 40 per day but gave it up 6 weeks before daughter was born the only difference I felt was the morning sickness stopped. I was off them for 16 years and can honestly say I didn’t feel any difference except having money in my pocket. I started again due to divorce and stress and now back to 40 per day with no money. How you feel or will feel is not important it will keep you healthier and live longer with money to spend. You need willpower and want to give up completely but keep trying you will manage to get it down to nil eventually.
