Can a childs ADHD be caused from the mom smoking pot while pregnant?

Researchers have an abundance of ideas on ADHD, but no real answer. My brother had ADHD and my mom never drank, smoke or did drugs. My son has ADHD and I smoked, but never drank or did drugs. I don’t think those things are contributing factors. I personally believe it happens, like a birth defect.

However, I do not advise that you continue smoking pot while you are pregnant. You want your baby to get the best start possible in life, and early exposure to drugs is not good. Just stop while you are pregnant.

possibly but most kids that have ADHD have inherated from someone in the family. A specialized diet and behavior modifications do work wonders on some kids and then there’s medicine if needed.

WHAT?! No but why would the mom smoke put while she was pregnant knowing that can harm the baby? :-\

From what I’ve read, ADHD is usually transmitted from one parent to their child but not in all cases. Here’s some more info -
