Can someone give me a sure method for quitting to smoke? I tried cold turkey, hypnosis, acupunture, nicotine patches and tablets, nicorette capsules and gums - no luck so far.
while there is no sure way, you can try filling a little jelly jar half way with water, putting a couple cigarettes in it, carrying it around with you everyday (never forget it!) and smelling it when you crave. after a while, you will asscociate the nasty smell with smoking (not the cigarette) and you will hopefully just not want to smoke anymore! this worked for my uncle and i really hope it works for you! good luck!!

There is a new medication - Chantix - that has helped a lot of people, successfully quit smoking. But, it does have side effects. The most common one is vivid, weird dreams. It works by blocking the receptors in the brain that make smoking pleasurable. You should talk to it to see if it's something that would be an option for you. My Mom quit through hypnosis. She had to go a couple of times though, and from what I understand about it, it depends how good your hypnotist is too.
I listen to alot of hypnosis downloads from the company in my source below. You just download the mp3's and relax to them when you like. They really helped me alot with my personal development stuff, and I found that the more I listen to the mp3's the better the effects are! Hope that helps!
