but im always udner the influence i love how it feels but i cant be like this my whole life what can i do?
Just stop. I used to smoke all the time too. I quit doing it one day and grew up. You will probably lose some friends, I did all the ones that still just wanted to get high all the time instead of actually being a friend. You just have to put your mind to it and stop. Good luck.

At least you've come to the realization that you have a problem. Most marijuana smokers don't believe its an addiction. You should seek professional help, it sounds like you're running from something. What's going on in your life that is causing you to always want to feel "high?"

Just quit. It isn't physically addicting it's just something you have to get use to. I did it pretty regularly for oh…25 years. Having kids helps to make you stop not that I would recommend that lightly. Seriously it isn't hard but it's like anything else. If you want to stop you will.

You've got 2 choices.
Life is tough.
You can face the difficulties one day at a time.
Or
Wait until your whole life collapses (after all how can you live a life under the influence) and face the difficulties all at once.
Until you make up your mind to change, you won't.
Now you know your options.

Buy a big bag and don't smoke any of it. It's easier to quit when you got it than to not have it…

Take it one day at a time. Find other things that you enjoy. I know when I stopped every time I got the urge I did ten push-ups and ten sit-ups. Now I am in really good shape and weed free.

Just do it If you want something bad enough, you'll do whatever it takes to get it. Just don't smoke today, try it one day at a time. If you use one day, don't give up. Try not to do it again the next day. Its very difficult, but it gets easier as the days go by. GOOD LUCK, you'll be glad you did it.

Who says you "can't be like this your whole life"?…Is that you saying that, or 'Them'? If it truly is you, and the costs are outweighing the benefits, the I suggest you have your last smoke and commit to never picking the stuff up again….(have you ever done this before?)…If you find that does not work (it rarely does) SEEK OUT OTHERS THAT HAVE "QUIT" OR ARE IN THE PROCESS OF "QUITTING". I used heroin for many years and put the stuff down with the help of AA. You might try AA, MA, NA….any A. Ask the doctor the shrink…clergy.etc. Or, try all of the above…then try them again. The magic is in the trying. And most importantly….smile and laugh if things get rough. Nothing lasts forever. Bon chance!!!

If you like something, why get rid of it?

It's tough, no getting away from the fact that it's really tough, harder than cigarettes if it's your cup of tea so to speak ie. (drug of choice).
If you've smoked 3 or 4 times a day for 10 to 30 years you have to accept that the first year off is going to be a daily battle. You can drink heavily once or twice a week (strictly only), as a poor substitute but if you go for a good buzz every night you will almost certainly become an alcoholic. Understanding that what you love is the chemical balance of the brain that you get from using continually and the dual perspective on life that you can cultivate w/out the drug as you are now well experienced is the key to knowing you can/will live better & longer w/out it. What you don't love is when the drug isn't there so your chemical balance feels desperately disturbed w/out it and your life one dimensional. You don't have to accept that you will always want it, as w. cigs the desire gradually fades w. each passing year. In a few years you will be really happy to feel good w/out it again. Most importantly don't try to replace it w. alcohol entirely, no-one can drink that much and live past about 35.
