It is known that smoking marijuana can harm a man's fertility (I read somewhere that it causes the sperm to swim to fast too soon, so it tires them out once they reach the egg). Well how long does it take for a man's sperm to go back to normal productivity once they stop smoking marijuana? What are your experiences (if any) with your man smoking marijuana and you two trying to get pregnant?
I wonder the same thing too. I know on same websites it will say it WILL affect your chances and some places say it has no effect whatsoever cause either way, there is no proof. People that smoke weed all the time will have a baby and some that never smoke might not. It all depends on you and your man I think.

It doesn't affect it except in the VERY SHORT TERM (like a few hours or so). Like alcohol.
I know at least 10 people who have smoked through their conceptions, no problems. And THC does not stay in the body for 10 days, it is broken down almost immediately, that's why the feeling only lasts a short time. Only the resulting chemicals from it's metabolism remain in your body afterward, and nobody's ever done studies about those residual chemicals effect on firtility.

All I can say is this is a crock of sh*t! I have heard this over and over from my doctors~we had been trying to concieve for 8 months and nothing ever happened so we gave up. Yes my DH smokes but not that much and even if he did it would make a difference, I know a couple dozen couples that got pregnant just as easily-some smoked some didn't… I think it all depends on two things, perfect timing and God's will.

This me talking from experience. Smoking weed will affect his sperm, and depending on how often he does it, it CAN be permanent. It takes a few years to get the sperm back to normal. The THC stays in the body for up to 10 days. You can always get his little swimmers tested. My brother smokes weed and is also a paramedic. But you can always have fun trying! Good luck

I have known many many people to have children, normal children and their partner smoked. They didn't have any problems getting pregnant. Of course that is probably just those people. Good Luck to you.

My husband smoked before during and after we tried to get pregnant and I got pregnant the first month I was off the pill…so I believe that it doesn't really matter.

There is a chance that it has permanently damaged him. I am sure that it has damaged his brain. I don't understand why you would want to bring a child into this world with someone who does that to himself. What the heck do you think he would do to the child. Do you want your child to be brought up in that kind of environment?
