I see a small group of kids hanging outside the Help-Center where I work and I start to talk to these 10,11,12, 15 year old kids, they are ALL smoking cigarettes…I ask them if they will quit smoking & doing drugs.
They ALl said hell no…Obama does them and they pulled our several copies of his book and quoted him.
I begged these kids NOT to be like him….but they won’t
What do we say to them?
Well, since they’re probably make-believe children, (Because there’s NO WAY I can believe you didn’t make this story up.) we can ignore them and not be the crazy, too.

If 10 year olds are already reading and toting Obama books that’s impressive, heck of a reading level they have..
But let’s say your question wasn’t a pathetic attempt at taking a shot at the President Elect, I would explain to them that Obama is against doing drugs now and realizes what a mistake it was, and that he is also struggling to quit smoking which is a horrible habit, and if drugs and cigarettes were okay he wouldn’t have stopped doing drugs, and wouldn’t be struggling to quit smoking.
Many Presidents have a history of poor choices in behaivor, Bush and his drinking, McCain and his cheating and calling women foul names, Clinton and Monica, JFK and his many affairs, the list goes on and on.
The best you can do is use the publicity of the person to teach them that bad behavior is found in all walks of life, and eventually you regret it, so the best thing to do is stop it while you can.
If that doesn’t help show them yahoo q/a and they will see the horrible, nasty, vile things people could be saying about them in a few years for their decisions, gosh knows that’ll help.

First of all, I think you made this up. But playing along and assuming it’s true, parents need to educate their children, which includes educating them about the dangers of smoking AND educating them about the fact that they are their own people and shouldn’t give a rat’s ass what any famous person does.
I grew up with a mother who was a chain smoker, and I didn’t take up the habit. So “The President-elect does it” is certainly not a valid excuse.
Now go make up some other story to attempt to bash Obama.
